HE Barnes Ltd, a facilities management company based in South Yorkshire, is preparing to celebrate its 100th year in business. Established in 1923 by the pioneering Horace Edward Barnes, HE Barnes is a renowned business in Mechanical, Electrical, and turnkey Facilities Management Services with a group turnover in excess of £35m. Over the course of ten decades, the company has grown to become the force it is today, driven by innovation, successful market expansion and a commitment to embracing new processes and emerging technology.
To mark this milestone, the company will be hosting a charity ball on Friday, 17 November, at the Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria Hotel. The event, which will raise funds for local charity Sheffield Futures, will not only celebrate HE Barnes’ achievements over the past century, but also its commitment to the community it serves.
Nigel Pollard, Managing Director of HE Barnes, described the company’s expansion of its hard and soft facilities management division as providing customers with a complete turnkey solution, offering support every step of the way. “The combination of this means that buildings can be managed effectively ensuring our customers are able to maximise business productivity. The entire business prides itself on keeping the same ethos that Horace had when he first started the business all those years ago. Seeking opportunities, adapting to change, growing, and evolving with integrity.”
As the company celebrates this milestone, it is mindful of its heritage and vision, stating that its achievements are the result of its hard-working colleagues, customers, and supply chain partnerships. The company recognizes that its people are an important part of its success and it aims to continue building upon its successes and maintaining its position as an industry leader. HE Barnes Ltd is excited about the future and is grateful for its supporters who have helped to fuel its growth and expansion – together the company is confident it will continue to build on the solid legacy of the last 100 years.
