Folkestone Harbour has recently welcomed Floc., an innovative Kentish beer brand and brewery, to The Goods Yard. The Goods Yard is a vibrant outdoor food plaza in the Harbour, featuring 10 independent bars and street-food kiosks. The area is adorned with a large screen that broadcasts an array of sports games and hosts various events and seasonal cinemas.
Floc. is a well-loved beer brand that originated in 2020 as a home-grown operation brewing 150 cans per batch. The brand has grown rapidly due to the popularity of its “hoppy, hazy, flavourful” beers and is now brewed in a beautiful taproom in Canterbury, sold worldwide.
Paulo Kingston-Correia, General Manager of Folkestone Harbour & Seafront Development Company, expressed his admiration for Floc.’s impressive growth, innovative edge, and fresh offerings. He believes that Floc. is a great addition to The Goods Yard and will be popular with the customers.
Ross Shields, Founder of Floc. Brewing, described the team’s excitement at embarking on this new venture at Folkestone Harbour. The brand will provide its core range of beers, weekly specials from their brewery, locally-produced Nightingale cider, cocktails by Black Lines, and a select wine list showcasing local and international producers.
Floc. Brewing’s new location at Folkestone Harbour reflects the brand’s ambition for growth and the Harbour team’s confidence in its vision for the space. They aim to enhance the vibrant atmosphere of the venue and appeal to both the local community and visitors.
