Seedtag, the global contextual advertising company headquartered in London, has named Kartal Goksel as its new chief technology officer. With over two decades of industry experience, Goksel will steer the company’s technological direction and lead its innovation efforts. Goksel’s previous positions include key roles at CNET, CBS Interactive, Pubmatic, and Kargo, where he served as CTO and oversaw the development of the company’s SSP. Seedtag co-CEO and co-founder Jorge Poyatos praised Goksel’s appointment, stating it would help the company further advance in the rapidly changing AdTech landscape. Goksel will be based in both New York City and Madrid and manage Seedtag’s technical teams, research and develop new technologies, implement technology standards and practices and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future strategies and decision-making processes. Goksel replaces Paul Goldbaum, Seedtag’s former CTO. Goldbaum praised Goksel’s appointment, believing that it would help Seedtag reach new heights. The company, founded in Madrid in 2014 by two former Googlers, has over 500 employees and maintains offices in various locations worldwide, including Spain, France, Italy, the UK, the US, and others.
