Nottingham-based Phenna Group, a company dedicated to investing in and partnering with niche, independent Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Compliance (TICC) companies, has successfully completed its 12th acquisition in 2023. The recent addition to their portfolio is ACI Reports, a reputable provider of TM44 air conditioning inspection reports, as well as EPC and DEC certificates, based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.
ACI Reports has established itself as a trusted partner for a wide range of projects, spanning from individual retail shops to extensive national contracts. They operate not only across the United Kingdom but also occasionally for international clients, serving a diverse range of sectors. With a national network of TM44 air conditioning unit inspectors, ACI Reports has solidified its position as a leader in the industry.
Expressing enthusiasm for the acquisition by Phenna Group, Jol Pearson, director of ACI, stated, “We are really excited for ACI to be joining Phenna Group. Throughout the whole process, the Phenna team have been very responsive, transparent, and acted with a high degree of integrity.” Pearson also acknowledged the challenges involved in the M&A process but praised Phenna Group and their advisers for making it seamless. Pearson is confident that Phenna Group will provide the necessary support for ACI to fuel its growth plans and maintain its market-leading position.
Mick Grist, MD of Industrial Safety Inspections at Phenna Group, will assume responsibility for ACI after a short transition period. Grist expressed delight and anticipation in working with the ACI team to carry their legacy forward and continue building on their accomplishments.
Paul Barry, Group CEO of Phenna Group, highlighted the complementary nature of ACI’s operations with several of their existing portfolio companies. Having observed ACI’s growth and success for some time, Barry is excited about the future prospects that the wider Phenna Group can offer. Barry commended ACI for their exceptional business and expressed confidence in their future ambitions.
Phenna Group received advisory services from Johnston Carmichael and Avonhurst, while Brabners Solicitors and Nero Accounting advised ACI on this transaction.
