Discount retailer B&M has relocated to a larger unit on Westmorland Retail Park in Northumberland, after vacating its previous store at Manor Walks Shopping and Leisure. The company will open its doors to customers this weekend, offering a diverse range of branded groceries, health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, gifts and more. The new store will also feature a 3,813 sq ft outdoor garden centre. The team at Advance Northumberland, as landlords, helped B&M with the relocation process and liaised with local council planners and highways teams. The former Gala Bingo Hall had been vacant since 2020.
Lee Farrier, Head of Commercial and Workspace at Advance Northumberland, states that the addition of B&M reaffirms Manor Walks Shopping and Leisure as a thriving retail hub in the area. Jeff Reid, Chair of Advance Northumberland, adds that the investment demonstrates business confidence in Manor Walks and is good news for the local economy.
In a statement, the store manager of B&M Cramlington said that the new store will offer a “bigger and better” shopping experience for customers, with an increased selection of big branded products. The existing B&M team will move to the new store when it opens.
