Fremlin Walk is pleased to announce its long-term lease agreement with Frasers Group for a 101,921 sq ft unit at M&G Real Estate’s Maidstone town centre retail destination. Frasers Group will renovate the House of Fraser unit at Fremlin Walk into a flagship store for Kent, featuring a range of their popular brands such as Flannels and Sports Direct. The store will temporarily close from March 30th, 2023, to undergo the necessary transformations and will reopen in Autumn 2024. This renewed commitment from Frasers Group reflects the sustained demand from major retail brands, highlighting the position of Fremlin Walk as a retail hub.
Following several lease renewals with existing tenants throughout 2023, the Fremlin Walk team will further enhance the retail and eatery line up within the next twelve months. The centre’s position at the heart of Maidstone town centre makes it an attractive destination for brands, with conversations ongoing with several interested parties. The presence of key retailers such as Frasers Group strengthens the confidence in Fremlin Walk as a significant retail destination that attracts strong footfall all year round.
Kerry Williams, portfolio director for M&G Real Estate, commented: “We are delighted that Frasers Group has not only committed its long-term future to Fremlin Walk, but also selected Maidstone as a location for one of its new flagship concept stores. The continued presence of big-name brands such as Frasers Group demonstrates the confidence that major UK and international retailers have in Fremlin Walk.”
David Legat from Knight Frank added: “Completing this flagship letting and bringing the three incredible brands of Frasers, Sports Direct and Flannels to Fremlin Walk secures the scheme as a retail-led destination long into the future. We look forward to building on this success and announcing more exciting brands to our line up in the near future.”
We are excited for the continued growth and expansion of Fremlin Walk as a diverse and vibrant shopping environment.
