Medstrom, an independent manufacturer of hospital beds, is expanding its operations in Castle Donington by acquiring additional space at Unit 2 on Hawthorn Road. The deal was facilitated by Alicia Lewis, surveyor at NG Chartered Surveyors, on behalf of a private landlord.
As the second largest provider of “Total bed management” services to the NHS, Medstrom manages over 25% of the UK’s acute care beds and mattresses fleet from its headquarters on Pegasus Business Park in Leicestershire.
According to Becky Dolan, Managing Director of Medstrom, this expansion demonstrates the company’s commitment to growth and development through 2024 and beyond. She highlighted the recent transition to an EOT (Employee Ownership Trust) and increased investment in UK manufacturing as part of their strategic plan.
Alicia Lewis mentioned, “It’s been a pleasure working with Medstrom to support their growth and vital services to the NHS. This deal benefits both parties, with Medstrom expanding their operations and our landlord client securing a high-quality tenant. It’s truly a win-win situation.”
HEB, represented by Will Torr, advised Medstrom in finalizing the deal.
