Property investors Karrev and Kinrise have recently signed a new lease with Pizza Pilgrims, an independent restaurant, at Ambler House, 2-3 Trevelyan Square, Leeds. The restaurant’s lease, stretching across 2,379 sq.ft. of space across the ground and basement floors, will mark the fifth restaurant opening outside London. This property is home to other tenants such as Things in Bread and Doh’hut, establishing a new ‘food oasis’ in the city. Local agency Pudney Shuttleworth advised on the deal, and the restaurant will officially open on November 14th.
Karrev & Kinrise manages a 73,500 sq.ft. portfolio across Trevelyan Square, and is dedicated to creating a thriving new community destination. Their commitment is highlighted by the recent signing of 1 Trevelyan Square to Leeds Trinity University, with the space becoming available for students in the 2024/25 academic year. The duo’s vision also includes landscaping of the public square for the benefit of tenants and visitors.
Co-founder of Kinrise, George Aberdeen, emphasized the importance of community, stating “We are delighted to sign a new F&B operator at Ambler House, which will be a great addition to Trevelyan Square and the city.” The unique selection of independent F&B operators, such as Pizza Pilgrims, aim to provide new spaces for local businesses, students, and visitors to meet and unwind.
Thom Elliot, the founder of Pizza Pilgrims, also expressed his excitement, saying, “We are really excited to be coming to the fantastic city of Leeds. We have been looking for a way to work with Kinrise for a number of years – and this site by Trevelyan Square is a great corner, perfect for our joyful take on Neapolitan pizza.” He also added that the company is looking forward to the redevelopment of the square and future summer pop-ups.
Overall, Karrev & Kinrise’s project will revitalise the area of the city by creating future-fit work and social spaces at Ambler House. The partnership with Pizza Pilgrims and other F&B operators will benefit the tenants and visitors at Trevelyan Square.
