Alitu, a podcasting tool part of The Podcast Host family, has introduced a new feature that allows users to edit audio using text commands. The company claims that the tool can reduce the time it takes to edit a podcast by 50%, comparing the process of editing to that of tweaking a Google Doc. Alitu’s AI transcribes the recorded audio and links it to the Alitu Waves waveform editor which responds to changes in the text. Jacob Anderson, the company’s Head of Marketing, has demonstrated the efficacy of the tool while recording with Alitu Founder Colin Gray, describing it as a “close shave” when the improvised conversation had to be edited out. Text-based editing ensured the radiator episode was removed with ease, saving them a lot of time and avoiding potential mishaps.
Alitu is used by close to 3,000 podcasters such as Logitech, Harvard and Stanford Universities, Intuit, Workday, and the NHS, to record, publish and edit their shows. This feature is yet another testament to their unwavering dedication to their client’s needs.
