North East Lincolnshire Council has issued a tender for a NEC4 Project Manager to play a crucial role in supporting the rejuvenation of Pier Gardens. This initiative is part of the £18.4m transformation of Cleethorpes seafront, encompassing key areas such as the Market Place, Pier Gardens, and Sea Road.
According to Philip Jackson, Leader of the council, “Cleethorpes has a wealth of assets that can enable it to be at the forefront of regeneration.” He also emphasized the vast potential for redevelopment within Pier Gardens, which has been a prominent location since its opening in 1885.
Commencing in January 2024, the council’s delivery partner Equans and NELC’s project management team will collaborate with the appointed NEC4 Project Manager to support the design team in developing comprehensive designs. The tender is currently open for potential applicants through YORtender and will conclude on Thursday 30 November 2023.
