Moonglow Trading, a well-known name in the retail industry, has secured substantial funding from HSBC UK to establish up to four new Black Sheep Coffee franchises. These franchises will be opened in different locations, including Oxford and Cardiff, and will provide a total of 30+ job opportunities. Black Sheep Coffee’s UK portfolio will subsequently grow, placing the brand as the fourth largest coffee-led operator in the nation.
With experience in the retail and catering sectors, Moonglow aims to work alongside unique businesses such as Black Sheep Coffee that are revolutionizing the industry through technological advancements. The franchise partnership allows Moonglow to explore new opportunities and venture beyond London, while HSBC UK’s continuous support, even during the Covid crisis, highlights its commitment to realizing unique propositions.
Anthony Couzens, Relationship Director at HSBC UK, believes this partnership reflects the bank’s previous successes with Moonglow and anticipates further progress with Black Sheep Coffee. Another key HSBC UK representative, Franchise Director Anita Roberts, is optimistic about the new multi-store lending opportunity, wishing Moonglow immense success in extending its reach across England and Wales, creating opportunities for connectivity at the local level.
Black Sheep Coffee, founded in 2013, has built a reputation on its use of speciality grade Robusta coffee beans, containing twice the caffeine content of regular coffee beans, with unique flavor profiles and a tech-focused approach to providing fast and efficient access to high-quality coffee.
