Onebright, the largest private outpatient mental healthcare company in the UK, has expanded its neurodevelopmental services by acquiring Psicon Ltd for an undisclosed sum. The mental healthcare company offers various services, including neurodevelopmental assessments, to its private medical insurance, corporate, and consumer clients. By acquiring Psicon, Onebright’s capabilities in this crucial area have significantly increased. Psicon is a quickly growing neurodevelopmental assessment provider for Autism and ADHD and works closely with the NHS while also providing private assessments to the public.
Psicon delivers a full range of assessment and treatment services across all ages and is one of the largest child neurodevelopmental service providers in the UK. The two brands will operate independently, and Psicon will continue to be run by its Managing Director, Dr Dan Simmonds. With Onebright’s support, it will make a significant investment in its operational and technological capabilities, further its expansion in the UK, and enable more people to benefit from Psicon’s exceptional services.
The new group will employ over 500 staff, delivering services both remotely and from a growing number of face-to-face clinics. Its operational centers are located in York, London, and Canterbury. Donald Fowler, CEO of Onebright, expressed his delight to welcome Psicon to the Onebright family and stated that the addition of Psicon and its team would enhance their ability to deliver on their mission. Dr. Dan Simmonds, Managing Director of Psicon, expressed his excitement about working within the Onebright family to further support public and private patients across the UK.
LJ Conradie, Psicon Founder, and retired MD added, “I am very proud of all the achievements at Psicon over the last 25 years and very excited about the Psicon Onebright union. Passing the baton to leaders with a focus on strong values and high-quality services will continue to be the basis of future success.”
Overall, the acquisition of Psicon is a strategic move for Onebright, which aims to provide easy access to personalized, life-changing mental healthcare support. The two companies share a passion for clinical excellence and patient-centered care, and their union will only improve their ability to deliver on their mission.
