Real estate consultancy firm Naismiths has established a stronger presence in Leeds with the inauguration of a new office space. This development follows the expansion of the firm’s team and services in the region. Naismiths, which operates across the UK, has experienced growth in project monitoring, building consultancy, and restructuring and advisory services for projects in the North East. To support this success, the firm has recruited additional surveyors.
Phil Errington, Naismiths’ director and regional project monitoring lead, expressed his satisfaction with the expansion: “We are delighted to witness the growth of our team and services in the north, and the opening of the new Leeds office represents a significant milestone for us.”
Errington highlighted the importance of having a flexible workspace that allows the team to collaborate effectively, whether in person, remotely, or on location. He emphasized the significance of establishing a physical presence in Leeds during the company’s 60th year of operation, as they have been actively engaged in projects in Yorkshire and the north east for several years. He also expressed the firm’s commitment to sustaining this growth momentum by hiring more experts, as they have recently done.
In addition to the new office space, Naismiths has welcomed Phil Darwent as a senior surveyor and Louis Curtis as a surveyor. Darwent, who brings 22 years of experience in private quantity surveying, joined Naismiths to pursue new opportunities for expanding his skill set. Curtis, with a background in residential surveying, is already contributing his expertise to Naismiths’ projects. Both individuals are part of the project monitoring team.
Reflecting on his career progression, Curtis stated, “My previous experience focused on fund monitoring surveying, and when I joined Naismiths, I was keen to further develop in this area. Additionally, achieving chartered status is a significant milestone for surveyors, and at my previous company, I had begun pursuing this goal.” Curtis expressed gratitude for Naismiths’ support in allowing him to continue his path towards chartered status and providing guidance and expertise during his studies.
To conclude, Naismiths’ expansion in Leeds and the recruitment of talented surveyors signify the firm’s commitment to meeting the growing demands of their clients. The new office space will facilitate effective collaboration among team members, while the addition of skilled professionals will contribute to the continued success and growth of the firm.
