TGA Consulting Engineers has expanded into new office accommodations in West One, Forth Banks – it’s placed very near Newcastle’s Stephenson Quarter, which is in line with its growth strategy. The move was backed by six new appointments – three of whom were already existing TGA staff, now promoted to provide more project support. The new recruits include an experienced healthcare specialist, a graduate building performance engineer, and a trainee mechanical & electrical engineer. TGA’s following an ambitious growth strategy for the year ahead and aims to have more new appointments soon.
Aside from the ample workspaces in the new location, it also has various social areas designated for more comfortable collaboration – there’s a bigger reception area, an eight-person executive boardroom, and a four-person meeting room. The new space will also accommodate TGA employees from the Durham office, facilitating design and delivery collaborations.
“We now have far more space, which means we no longer need to share meeting facilities with other tenants and we are still close enough to the city center,” said TGA Director, Scott Graham. “So we see West One as a great base for future expansion. Throughout last year, we continued to pick up several new projects, resulting in an increase in turnover in line with our growth plans. This meant that by early summer, we were rapidly outgrowing our existing office accommodation, and it has taken until now to find suitable accommodation that ticked all the boxes for us.”
As the construction industry, and the business sector as a whole, shifts to a more carbon-conscious approach, TGA is aptly positioned to provide expert support and advice. The company has seen an influx of new work from the industry and other sectors.
