Recruitment agency Encore Personnel is expanding with the launch of a new engineering division in Derby.
The company, which is aiming to push through the £100m turnover mark this year, has taken on engineering consultant Richard Glennan to head up the division, which will be run out of the Derby branch.
Glennan, who has more than ten years’ experience in the sector, said: “Having started my career with an apprenticeship in welding and fabrication, I have a firm understanding of the sector and that foundation has served me well so far in growing teams which find the right people for the right roles, first time.
“There”s an exciting opportunity to expand Encore’s footprint in the engineering sector and, with a decade’s worth of experience, six of those years being in a management role, I’m confident we will quickly grow our network into the Derby engineering market.
“Basing our approach on a very successful model – which is working hard for our clients in our other engineering locations – we will be, as is the Encore mission, imaginative and client focused in how we package our solutions and sensitive to the individual requirements of each business we work with.”
Established in Leicester in 2002, Encore provides temporary and permanent jobs to the engineering, industrial, driving, energy, manufacturing, managed and professional services sectors from branches in Leicester, Coventry, Birmingham, Derby, Leeds, Peterborough, Northampton, Nottingham, Spalding and Telford.
Engineering operations manager Kristy Kenney added: “We knew straight away that Richard was the right fit for our business because he understands people and clients so well. He is very driven, dynamic and personable and demonstrated a truly consultative approach in how he identifies the pressure points a business is facing.
“Our aim with this new division is to grow organically. We want to establish and grow relationships with engineering businesses within the Derby market with the aim of being deliberate in who we work with.”
