A company that offers cyber security, identity, cloud transformation, and managed services has opened a new office in Cardiff and plans to hire up to 40 people there over the next three years.
In the beginning of this year, London-based TiG Data Intelligence and Cwmbran-based identity and cyber security expert ThirdSpace joined forces to form Kocho.
The company is a Microsoft partner that helps mid-market and enterprise companies, including many well-known brands, adopt complex digital technologies while also protecting themselves from cyber threats.
Kocho’s capabilities in Cardiff will be improved by the new office, which is part of its plan to set up a cyber and identity centre of excellence in Wales. This centre will offer services to clients in different fields, such as financial services, health, manufacturing, and professional services.
Kocho’s new building at 2 Kingsway, which looks out over Cardiff Castle, will make its security operations centre bigger and house its growing team of identity experts.
Along with opening a new office in Cardiff, Kocho is also working to strengthen its relationship with the University of South Wales. This is to help train and inspire the next generation of cyber security experts, especially young women who want to have successful careers in technology.
Kocho has offices in London, Cardiff, Hersham, and Manilla, where it has 260 employees and an annual income of £40,6 million.
It plans to more than double its sales in the next five years through a mix of organic growth and acquisitions, like its recent purchase of Mobliciti, a Surrey-based mobile security and managed service provider.
“It’s really exciting to unveil the new Kocho office space in the heart of Cardiff,” said Des Lekerman, chief executive of Kocho.
“We’re an ambitious, fast-growing company which recognises the strength of tech and cyber talent available in Wales.
“We’re keen on bringing additional benefits to our customers across Wales and the UK by combining our expert identity and security skills paired with cloud transformation and managed services to meet a growing and acute market need.”
