Cargo Creative, based in North Tyneside, has increased its turnover by a third and secured multiple new clients, leading to the hiring of seven new team members. Six current members have also been promoted to management positions to better accommodate the surge in new client accounts. The agency has been crowned a finalist at the North East Marketing Awards, to take place in November. Cargo Creative’s owner, Paul Hart, explains the growth: “Over the last year we have enjoyed exciting growth, winning 20 new clients with whom we can make a real difference, and expanding our team considerably. Our new clients include national brands such as Vita Health, regional big-hitter Invest Newcastle, plus international payment providers, TransactPay, to name a few.” The new team members include Ryan Errington, Lilly Eudell, Emma Glen, Jari Dorian, Eve Kidd, Dan Dobson and Jodie Riddex, which brings the total headcount at Cargo Creative to 17. Founded in 2009, the agency specialises in delivering creative brand experiences through digital and design solutions.
To support further growth, the company has promoted Carl Rutherford and Adam Gowland to Directors, Kasey Harms to Head of Design Services, Rich Walker to Lead Developer, Justina Burkauskiene to Head of Search, and Ryan Errington to Lead Designer. Additionally, Jari Dorian has been welcomed as the agency’s first Motion Graphics Designer. Paul Hart explains the importance of motion graphics for the company’s growth strategy: “Introducing motion graphics to our creative team means we can offer an end-to-end service from a brand and creative perspective. Throughout the year, we’ve worked closely with our clients to integrate their marketing strategies across channels, shifting from a solely design and digital delivery model to a fresh approach as brand strategy specialists.” The company plans to continue hiring, aiming to fill three more positions in the coming months and secure a turnover of £1.2m in the next year, a growth from its current £950k. Cargo Creative’s clientele includes Ward Hadaway, Perspective Financial Group, Everyturn Mental Health, IDP Architects, Central Employment, and YMCA North Tyneside.
