Huckletree, a leading innovator in curated coworking spaces, has announced its move to two of London’s most sought-after areas. The company’s expansion into Liverpool Street and Kensington brings its total footprint to over 250,000 sq ft in the UK and Ireland, following the successful opening of Huckletree Oxford Circus which is already at 80% occupancy.
Huckletree’s new hub in London’s Oxford Circus is dedicated to serving Web3 and AI companies that are scaling across the capital. It is home to industry leaders and scaling startups, including SurrealDB, which raised $6M in January for its database-as-a-service offering.
With the aim of tapping into the evolving business and entrepreneurial communities of these neighborhoods, Huckletree is expanding its presence into sought-after areas like Kensington and Liverpool Street. These locations have witnessed significant transformations, with Kensington no longer solely focused on retail and Liverpool Street gearing up to welcome a fresh wave of technology and FinTech firms.
This expansion is a part of Huckletree’s wider plan to launch an additional 140,000 sq ft of coworking space within the next 12 months. The timing aligns with London’s recognition as the world’s top coworking city, outperforming other global cities such as Lisbon for those seeking flexible working arrangements.
In addition to London, Huckletree also operates in Manchester and Dublin and is actively looking to expand its footprint in response to increased demand in these thriving innovation and coworking locations.
The upcoming Huckletree Liverpool Street, set to open this September, will occupy four floors in the newly refurbished, highly sustainable 199 Bishopsgate building. Spanning across 35,000 sq ft, it aims to attract up to 50 businesses and serve as a hub for the thriving FinTech and innovative community in the neighborhood.
Huckletree Kensington, scheduled to open in early 2024, will offer six floors of turnkey, flexible office space in the iconic West London neighborhood. Occupying a free-standing building near Kensington High Street tube station, Huckletree aims for its Kensington hub to become a center of innovation, complete with barista coffee and a rooftop lounge bar.
Both spaces are designed to meet modern working styles and provide state-of-the-art amenities, including member lounges, rooftop terraces, dedicated wellness spaces, and town hall areas. Members of all Huckletree spaces can access tailored programming, such as Huckletree’s ‘Founder Circles’ and workshop sessions with leading experts, as well as a network of venture capital investors.
With a growing community of over 75 global ambassadors, 100 venture partners, 4,000 members, and 1,500 alumni, the Huckletree ecosystem sets it apart from other coworking spaces. It goes beyond being just a physical office space.
Gabriela Hersham, co-founder and CEO of Huckletree, expresses her excitement about the company’s expansion into these desirable London locations. She states, “Our growth will allow us to build an innovation community in Kensington and support the burgeoning fintech ecosystem around Liverpool Street.” Hersham also highlights Huckletree’s successful track record and looks forward to welcoming more disruptor businesses in London, the world’s innovation capital.
