Azets, a top 10 accountancy and advisory firm in the United Kingdom, has recently welcomed two new partners to its London restructuring advisory team. The promotion of Robert Young and Nicola Banham boosts Azets’ capabilities in restructuring and insolvency, a team that specializes in aiding financially troubled companies with restructuring and rescue options. By offering specialized advisory services, the team helps organizations make better long-term and effective strategic business decisions. The increased business demand has prompted Azets to augment the department, given that the number of business insolvencies is presently at unprecedented levels.
Nicola Banham joined Azets in 2021 from BDO and has over 20 years of experience advising directors, lenders, and other key stakeholders. As a partner, Nicola will continue to concentrate on helping organizations navigate through financial distress at a time marked by inflationary pressure and increased interest rates. Robert Young joined Azets in November 2022 with over 20 years of experience in the insolvency profession, spending the majority of his career leading advisory and formal insolvency assignments across a wide range of sectors. Robert’s primary focus is the provision of restructuring advice to the key financial stakeholders of small and medium sized companies, managing numerous significant insolvency assignments.
Colin Haig, UK Head of Restructuring and Insolvency at Azets, praised the promotions of Robert and Nicola, both “seasoned operators,” who have become “integral parts of our R&I team.” He expects that these new appointments will enable Azets’ restructuring and insolvency team to “push on to the next level” and is confident that the firm’s ambitious growth plans will be supported by more investment.
