Eurostar Commodities, a Brighouse-based ingredients company, has announced the appointment of Jason Bull as its Managing Director. With over 20 years of experience in the business, Bull has played a key role in expanding the company to a £15m turnover worldwide operation, as well as strengthening its position as one of the UK’s most trusted food brands.
The company, established by Jason’s father Phillip in 1994, will see Phillip take on the role of Chairman. In addition to the MD appointment, the company has made senior hires in international logistics, purchasing, marketing, and sales, expanding the team to 23 members in the UK, with a strong network of global partners.
In his new role, Jason has led the development of new products and brands, including the award-winning Gluten Free Chapati flour range. Under his leadership, sales of the range have more than doubled from the previous year. Bull has also been instrumental in expanding the company’s global infrastructure to support its network of food producers and solidifying Eurostar’s role as an Export Trade Champion for the Government’s Department of Business and Trade.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the future, Bull stated, “I am excited to be leading the business into this next chapter. We have achieved successful growth, beyond our highest expectations in a challenging global economy. I have ambitious plans for continued growth, product development and international supply of high-quality foods. I am most proud of our market leading share in the sushi rice category and the development of our high-quality gluten free flours which have revolutionised the market. We have a fantastic team who are the best in the business and together we deliver a significant and consistent service to the UK food industry.”
Looking ahead to 2024, Jason plans to expand into a triple-sized factory facility, increase capacity in purchasing and logistics, introduce several new food brands, enhance gluten free product development, create new consumer brands in emerging farming sectors, and expand the company’s presence in UK, Northern European and Middle Eastern retail and foodservice, as well as physically expand into Europe.
