James Thomas is part of KPMG Law and leads the firm’s legal technology and innovation team, which is working on creating a set of legal technology tools to help clients across all of KPMG’s services.
Four more people on KPMG’s team have also been made directors. The firm’s audit practise includes Deborah Jamison, Emma Gardiner, Jennifer Milburn, and Matthew Ackroyd.
Euan West, office senior partner at KPMG in Leeds, said: “The strength and depth of our team is our greatest asset. These partner promotions show the quality of nationally and internationally recognised expertise we have here in Leeds to support clients across the private and public sector.
“They also demonstrate the importance of nurturing and investing in a diversity of talent and skills within organisations.”
The Leeds office promotions are in addition to two partner promotions in KPMG’s Newcastle office and part of 14 partner and six director promotions across the North of England. The office has also welcomed more than 60 graduates and apprentices in the past year.
