The specialist debt recovery team at LCF Law, a leading Yorkshire law firm, has expanded with the appointment of three new members in its Leeds office. The team secured a surge in contract wins at the start of the year, prompting the new appointments. One of the new hires, Amy Dobson, will act as a debt recoveries executive, responsible for helping clients recover disputed and undisputed debts. Meanwhile, Elke Timlin-Bates and Gracie Porter have joined the team as apprentices, completing legal administration apprenticeships whilst working with the team.
LCF Law has a scheme in place aimed at financially supporting its apprentices through their career in law, with training, mentoring and paid study leave. The debt recovery team works to recover unpaid invoices for national and regional businesses.
Andrew Langton, LCF Law’s head of debt recovery, says demand for debt recovery services has increased and requires a high return on net debts, especially given the current climate of company insolvencies, extended payment terms, and longer waits for payments from some businesses. Dobson’s 20 years of debt recovery experience, including two previous decades at LCF Law, will be invaluable in meeting the challenge. Timlin-Bates and Porter’s apprenticeships will further enhance the team’s efficacy.
