Huddersfield-based Yorkshire Country Properties (YCP) has recently bolstered its management team with a key appointment and three promotions. In addition to welcoming Paul Brown as Managing Director, a brand-new executive team has been formed.
Rob Wilkinson, a Yorkshireman hailing from Wakefield, has assumed the position of financial director at YCP. With an educational background from Nottingham Trent University and experience at Tilia Homes (formerly Kier Living) and accountancy firm Armstrong Watson, Rob brings a wealth of expertise to the company.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Rob stated, “This is a tremendously exciting move for me. Yorkshire Country Properties are pioneers in developing elegant, state-of-the-art houses, ranging from starter homes to luxurious five-bedroom executive residences.”
Highlighting the company’s growth potential and the valuable existing team, Rob continued, “We have a clear vision of what we want to achieve, and personally, I am thrilled with the responsibility I’ve been given.”
Managing Director Paul Brown echoed Rob’s sentiments, emphasizing the significance of his appointment, “I am delighted to welcome Rob to Yorkshire Country Properties. As we embark on a program of site acquisitions and expansion, establishing a sound and practical financial foundation is crucial, which Rob will provide.”
In addition to Rob’s appointment, YCP has also recognized the exceptional talent within the organization. Mike May, previously serving as head of construction, has been promoted, alongside Sam McGregor and Jenny Wass—now head of sales and head of marketing, respectively.
Speaking of the promotions, Paul Brown acknowledged the valuable contributions of Mike, Sam, and Jenny, “Their experience and expertise have already proved invaluable, and together, they constitute a superb management team. I am fortunate and proud to have such excellent support in achieving our company’s growth targets.”
Meanwhile, Mike May highlighted the positive impact YCP has made on housing provision in the Kirklees and West Yorkshire area, citing completed developments in Netherthong, Holmfirth, and ongoing projects in Shepley, Skelmanthorpe, and Denby Dale. “These new developments address the urgent need for housing, particularly offering starter homes that enable young individuals to step onto the property ladder,” Mike explained.
Overseeing the current home building activities, Sam McGregor emphasized the company’s commitment to high-quality construction and product differentiation as crucial factors in an uncertain housing market. Despite challenges, Sam expressed confidence that YCP’s dedicated team and superior houses will continue to meet the diverse needs of Yorkshire’s demographics.
Jenny Wass, responsible for YCP’s marketing efforts, expressed her excitement about working with a dynamic and prosperous company. She emphasized the importance of delivering exceptional experiences and products to customers, drawing insights from her previous role in customer service at YCP.
Yorkshire Country Properties has taken significant steps towards strengthening its management team and expanding its presence in the housing market. With the support of accomplished professionals like Rob Wilkinson, Mike May, Sam McGregor, and Jenny Wass, YCP is well-positioned to achieve its growth objectives and offer exemplary homes across Yorkshire.
