Market Harborough Building Society (MHBS) has announced its plans to relocate to a new head office as part of its commitment to the local community. The 12,152 square foot office at The Point Business Park, which has been vacant since 2019, will serve as the new headquarters for MHBS by spring 2024. The new location will not only bring together the society’s 120 management and administrative staff from two different sites but will also provide meeting and event space for local groups and charities.
In a statement, the CEO of MHBS, Iain Kirkpatrick, emphasized the benefits of the move, stating, “By moving head office, we’re able to unite our colleagues in one building for the first time, creating a modern and flexible working environment.” Kirkpatrick also highlighted the society’s commitment to supporting the local community by offering space for meetings and events, in line with their ambitious Thrive! Agenda.
Furthermore, MHBS is incorporating sustainability into the design of the new office space, aiming to repurpose existing materials and minimize wastage. The society is also engaging local contractors for the renovation works, supporting the local economy and reducing environmental impact.
Despite the head office relocation, MHBS reassures that its Welland House Branch will remain in its current location, underlining its dedication to providing face-to-face service and support to the community.
Overall, the move to the new head office at The Point Business Park signifies MHBS’s continued commitment to fostering a productive work environment and giving back to the communities it serves.
