Medius, a global provider of invoice automation solutions, has recently hired Emma Brown as its Chief Financial Officer. Brown comes at a vital point in the company’s development following the acquisitions of expense management software firm Expensya and invoice payments provider OnPay Solutions. As the CFO, Brown will spearhead Medius’s plan to double its turnover by 2025 as the company focuses on autonomous, AI-driven AP and spend management. Brown’s strong leadership background in digital transformation will also be valuable in product development, giving voice to the views of Medius’s customers.
Brown has worked for 14 years in growing technology and people-based businesses, including MedicalDirector, Smartways Logistics, and Altium. Prior to becoming the CFO of Medius, Brown worked at consumer intelligence accelerator platform Talkwalker as group chief financial and operating officer. Brown is a chartered accountant with an audit and advisory background gained at EY, BDO, and KPMG.
Brown said of her appointment, “I see first hand how Medius can solve these issues, and my belief in the product is an important reason for joining the business. With the company’s history of sustainable growth, I’m eager to deliver on its exciting ambitions as a strategic and entrepreneurial CFO.” Medius CEO Jim Lucier says, “We’re proud to welcome Emma at a crucial juncture for the business. As we continue our efforts to double our revenue over the next two years, Emma’s expertise as a transformational financial leader will help make this a reality.”
Medius’s invoice automation technology uses artificial intelligence to ease the burden of managing accounts payable. The company is highly regarded, with more than 4,000 customers across 102 countries and annual spending of $180 billion processed through its system.
