Ward Williams, a national property and construction consultancy, has undergone a two-year leadership evolution strategy resulting in James Beckly taking on the role of Senior Partner. This transition also sees the Founder of the firm, Andy Snapes, move into the role of Chairman as an external ambassador with a focus on mentoring and supporting staff members. Beckly joined the firm in 2017 and became Managing Partner in 2021, playing a significant role in the consolidation of the company’s foothold in sustainable project delivery, resulting in a doubling of the company’s turnover.
During Beckly’s leadership, the company transitioned into a custodianship model aiming to promote employee excellence, earned B Corporation Certification, and was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development. Additionally, Beckly supported the development of an innovative Construction Management service under the brand “Whitebox.”
As part of the planned evolution, the company will undergo an extensive rebranding project aimed at enhancing its positive impact on the environment and communities. Beckly plans to focus on future-readiness by improving infrastructure to accommodate AI integration and forming strategic partnerships with other industry leaders.
Beckly commented on his new role, stating that it is an exciting time for the industry, and he looks forward to building upon the company’s sustainability track record to deliver a positive impact in communities.
