Richard Reed Solicitors, one of Sunderland’s longest-standing law firms, recently celebrated its 75th anniversary in the city center. Founded in 1948 by Richard Reed to focus on criminal cases, the firm has since extended to other areas of law and gained a reputation as one of the most well-known practices in the area. To mark this landmark occasion, the firm welcomed over 100 guests to a fundraiser at Sunderland City Hall that raised more than £1,500 for charity. The event comes as Richard Reed Solicitors is experiencing a period of growth, with more than 40 employees and the need for new premises to accommodate the expansion.
Managing Director Sarah Reid expressed her appreciation for the support and turnout at the celebration, as well as her passion for Sunderland as a local business. According to her, the success of Richard Reed Solicitors is thanks to the company’s adaptability, collaboration, and focus on employee wellbeing. The event also enabled the firm to give back to the community by raising money for Grace House, and they were thankful for the numerous local businesses that donated prizes for the raffle.
In summary, Richard Reed Solicitors’ 75th anniversary celebration was a success, affirming the practice’s commitment to the Sunderland community and its values. The firm remains focused on making a positive impact and carrying on its founder’s legacy while finding new ways to grow and evolve.
