A delegation of UK FinTech companies will be participating in a trade mission to Australia’s Intersekt festival, the largest gathering of Australian FinTechs, hubs, accelerators, policymakers, regulators, investors, and advisors. The purpose of this mission is to showcase the capabilities of UK FinTechs and meet the growing demand for digital and automated services in Australia.
Led by CEO and founder Lynne Darcey Quigley, Scottish Fintech Know-it will be part of this trade mission, with plans to launch its platform in Q1, 2024. Quigley sees this opportunity as a testament to the hard work of the Know-it team since its inception in 2019. Quigley believes that the challenges faced by UK businesses, such as late payment culture and outdated credit control processes, are not exclusive to the UK, but also prevalent in Australia.
Know-it aims to help Australian businesses secure and automate their cash flow and financial processes. Quigley acknowledges the real appetite for automated credit control solutions in Australia, especially with the likes of Xero and MYOB making it easy for businesses to connect their accounts package to Know-it’s platform. The Intersekt festival will be held in Melbourne from August 30-31, with an optional additional leg in Auckland, New Zealand from September 4-5, which Know-it will also attend.
Quigley’s long-term goal is to take Know-it global and educate organizations worldwide about the importance of automating credit control processes for business continuity and success. This opportunity would not have been possible without the support of Fintech Scotland and Scottish Enterprise, who provided the necessary assistance to be part of crucial events like the Intersekt conference. Know-it sees the journey to Australia as the next big step towards global expansion and aims to showcase how Fintech can help protect business continuity during turbulent economic conditions.
Nicola Anderson, CEO at FinTech Scotland, expresses her excitement for Know-it’s participation in the trade mission, recognizing the excellent work done by Know-it under Quigley’s leadership. Anderson sees international growth as the next step for scaling-up FinTechs, and Australia is an ideal choice, as it aligns regulations with the UK through the UK-Australia FinTech bridge. FinTech Scotland hopes that Know-it’s platform launch in Australia in 2024 will serve as a model for other Scottish FinTechs.
Jan Robertson, director of Global Trade at Scottish Enterprise, has provided support to Know-it in its plans to enter the Australian market. Robertson believes that Know-it’s presence at Intersekt will raise its profile and help the company achieve its export ambitions by connecting with potential customers and partners. Before Intersekt, Know-it will also attend Xerocon in Sydney on August 23-24.
Know-it was founded in 2019 by Quigley, who possesses over 25 years of experience in the commercial debt recovery industry.
