Huler, the developer of an employee experience platform, has secured £1.5 million in funding from the MEIF Proof of Concept & Early Stage Fund and Mercia’s EIS funds. This investment will create 10 new job opportunities and help the Stoke-based company further develop its HulerHub platform.
HulerHub is a software-as-a-service platform that simplifies employee communications and information access for HR teams, providing important insights into connecting and engaging with different teams. Since its launch in early 2022, it has been adopted by notable clients such as Centrica, Qinetiq and EE, with Huler on course to increase its annual recurring revenue by 160% this financial year.
The investment will be used to further develop HulerHub to bring even more value to clients and help fuel revenue growth. Appointed as chief revenue officer, David Kelly brings more than 20 years of experience in HR technology businesses such as IBM, where he led the talent management solutions business in Europe.
“The employee engagement sector remains a huge and fast-growing market. Huler’s platform was the most advanced we’d seen at the point of the first investment and the progression since has pushed it even further forward,” said Kiran Mehta, investment manager at Mercia Ventures.
The Midlands Engine Investment Fund, supported financially by the European Union using funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Investment Bank, has played an important role in Huler’s funding round.
Overall, the investment will support Huler’s mission to become a leader in the employee engagement sector and simplify work by creating a single platform for all employee needs.
