Green White Sice Ltd has recently launched the UNIO Workstation, a revolutionary workspace design that promises to be the most significant change of this century. The company is committed to manufacturing the product sustainably and establishing a business model that gives back more than it consumes.
The UNIO Workstation, which is the first of many planned products, will be constructed using materials that are recycled, recyclable, and reusable, guaranteeing a lifetime of use. Furthermore, Green White Sice Ltd will collaborate with its suppliers to minimize its environmental impact and support a circular economy.
In partnership with social enterprise Climate Action North, Green White Sice Ltd has also set specific objectives for sustainable travel, achieving net zero, and reducing carbon emissions. Both companies are located at The BIC in Sunderland.
Co-founders Dave Green and Michael White expressed their vision for the company, stating, “With Climate Action North’s guidance, we have defined our goals to become a circular business. This concept is the driving force behind our business model and the foundation of the UNIO concept. To truly be a sustainable enterprise, we will focus on waste reduction and resource optimization. This commitment is essential to creating a better environment for people, society, and the planet.”
The UNIO Workstation is a smart, ergonomic, and electrically adjustable desk that enables users to easily transition from sitting to standing with the press of a button. It can be used as an individual workstation or arranged in groups of up to four to maximize office space. The product is designed to cater to various markets, including call centers, conference centers, airports, hotels, universities, and coworking spaces.
Sharon Lashley, the managing director of Climate Action North, commented, “We are proud to play a pivotal role in helping Green White Sice Ltd establish their sustainability objectives, stay ahead of the curve in achieving net zero, and ensure that the UNIO Workstation is future-proof. This sustainability report forms the basis for all future work on UNIO and subsequent products.”
Lashley emphasized the importance of sustainability in workspace design, stating, “Sustainability credentials for workspace design are non-negotiable for the future. In addition to benefiting the health of our planet, well-designed workspaces also foster happier and more productive workforces.”
Dave and Michael added, “Every action we take to protect our environment carries significance. That is why we consistently question how we can prevent and minimize our environmental impact with a sense of urgency. We base all our decisions on the sustainability principles outlined in this report to ensure that the UNIO Workstations do not deplete our planet’s resources or compromise our principles.”
