Instantprint, the largest online printer in the UK based in Yorkshire, recently announced investments exceeding £5m in their factory upgrade to accommodate their new book binding division. The decision to launch and invest in this new division came directly from customer feedback and is aimed at creating a seamless print buying journey that provides customers with exceptional-looking books.
Instantprint is heavily focused on delivering guaranteed quality with support from their team of expert book makers, who have over six decades of book printing experience, and equipped with some of the world’s most advanced printing presses. With investments in luxury and lay flat book printing, and stitched and perfect bound booklet products, instantprint is catering to its fastest-growing segments of the business with their new seven-colour Landa S10P Nanographic Printing press, which will significantly enhance their production capacity. The new press will be integrated alongside the existing press in the instantprint workflow to provide customers with a seamless flow from upload and approval to printed sheets on the floor.
This investment will allow instantprint to expand their growing booklet range and maintain “world-class” print quality, which is essential in a highly competitive print market. The selection of the second Landa S10P was based on exceptional print quality and economic advantages, which ensures that instantprint is ahead of its competition.
James Kinsella, Co-Founder of Instantprint, stated, “The print market is highly competitive and to support our customers with high-quality books that make them look exceptional, we knew we needed to invest in our factory to ensure that we can produce books at the highest quality and lowest unit cost.” Kinsella added, “The Landa has enabled much faster turnarounds as well as opening a wider range of materials that traditionally were only available in litho quantities.”
In conclusion, instantprint’s investment in their new book binding division is a positive step towards catering to their customers’ needs and expanding their business segments. The Landa S10P Nanographic Printing press provides instantprint with the quality and economic advantages required to stay ahead of the competition.
