North West-based legal firm, Napthens, has welcomed a group of new hires to its Liverpool office. The company has grown by 20% in staff size over the past 12 months, which reflects the overall exceptional growth that the firm has experienced. The development of the Liverpool office is part of the company’s business strategy to establish itself as an innovative and fast-growing law firm across the North West. We aim to attract the best talent available, which is why we have recently employed four commercially astute and experienced individuals.
Jane Janvier has been appointed as a legal director in our commercial property team. She will be responsible for leading the team in expanding our offering in Liverpool, working closely with Tony Coates, head of commercial property, to cover the whole city region. With a wealth of experience working with banks, property developers and property investors, Jane is an expert in providing commercial property advice to lenders in connection with secured lending, and to landlords and tenants on the grant of leases of commercial property.
Sophie Fulwell has been hired as a senior associate solicitor in our employment, HR and health and safety team. Sophie brings with her a wealth of experience in delivering strategic advice on employee exits, particularly those involving senior employees, as well as HR projects, such as redundancies, restructures, and outsourcing arrangements.
Nadya Panayi has been appointed as a solicitor specialising in the residential conveyancing team. Nadya will support Liverpool’s head of residential conveyancing, Gareth Jones, to develop Napthens’ residential conveyancing offering across the city region. Lastly, we welcome Harrison Robe-Quinn to our wills and estate planning team.
We have invested heavily in growing our Liverpool office, which has been flourishing since its inception. Our corporate team, for example, had an excellent year of deal-making and was recently ranked as the second most active legal advisor by Experian MarketIQ in the first half of 2023. We have now been shortlisted for multiple awards.
Kieran Donovan, corporate partner and head of Napthens Liverpool office, said: “The new appointments clearly demonstrate that we are recruiting exceptional talent and growing our city region offering. We are becoming increasingly recognised for the quality of work we do and for the clients and intermediaries we support. The talent we have been able to attract to Napthens is a testament to what we are building locally to serve our city region client base, as well as across the wider firm.’’
Our exceptional growth has also led to our imminent relocation to larger premises in 2024, which will allow us to continue providing excellent service to our clients and remain a leading North-West law firm.
