Aon plc, a prominent global professional services company, is pleased to welcome four new members to its Manchester office. These include three recent graduates and one placement year student who have been brought on board within the retirement consulting division. The aim is to inspire and develop the next generation of inclusive leaders. Aon’s Early Careers Programmes provide valuable opportunities for work experience and the chance to enhance professional skills through hands-on experience.
Industrial placement year students, who are currently in their third year of a university course, will receive invaluable real-world experience at Aon before they complete their studies. Aon’s graduate programme, known as ‘Launch,’ has been designed to develop high achievers so they can grow professionally as they transition smoothly into full-time roles. Additionally, Aon offers an all-inclusive 18-month to two-year apprentice programme that combines education and work experience simultaneously in a pathway to secure a Foundation Degree.
According to Marcus Pollitt, head of Manchester’s Retirement Consultant Development Group, “I’d like to welcome Maisie Hill, James Mitchell, Dominic Charles and Tom Halliday to the Manchester team. They have each demonstrated great enthusiasm and maturity, throwing themselves into their new roles with ambition and a desire to learn new skills, develop their knowledge and embrace any opportunity. The Early Careers Programme has been devised to attract promising talent from diverse backgrounds, and each route (industrial placement, apprentice, graduate) is designed to cultivate strong successors for the next generation of colleagues and leaders.”
Dominic Charles, who recently joined Aon in Manchester, commented, “I was fortunate to secure a placement with Aon while at university, which I really enjoyed. Every day was different, and the team was great. Due to this, Aon’s reputation, and the positive reviews from others who had joined the firm, I decided to apply for the graduate scheme. Since coming back, I’ve continued to find the job enjoyable, and I’ve been very impressed with the opportunities that Aon provides for all colleagues regardless of their level.”
