RWO, a North East engineering firm, has secured a six-figure contract to provide civil and structural engineering services for Countryside Partnership North East’s multi-million-pound regeneration project in Sunderland. The project will involve constructing 265 new homes on the site of the former Sunderland Civic Centre. RWO will provide onsite engineering infrastructure support that covers structural design, access and drainage, and civils work. The partnership between RWO and Countryside Partnership North East has been ongoing, having completed several residential schemes together.
RWO, with offices in the North East and Yorkshire, employs 30 professionals and expects to generate more than £2.5m in revenues within the next 12 months. The latest project with Countryside Partnership North East comes as the company is experiencing growth and is hiring engineers to meet growing demand.
Ross Oakley, managing director of RWO, expressed satisfaction with the partnership with Countryside, saying it strengthens the team’s alliance and highlights the quality engineering expertise available in the North East for multi-million-pound regeneration projects. He anticipates continued success and expansion in the future.
