Green Building Renewables (GBR), a cleantech business, has expanded its UK network into Hampshire and the South Coast by acquiring Solar Voltaics, a Hampshire-based business. This merger has increased GBR’s annual turnover to £35 million and will also create job opportunities in the region.
Solar Voltaics currently serves commercial clients in London and the UK, as well as residential customers in Hampshire, Sussex, Berkshire, Surrey, and Dorset. By joining GBR’s nationwide network, Solar Voltaics can expand its reach and provide its services as part of a national business with a local focus.
GBR offers a range of renewable technology solutions through its network of local energy experts. These solutions include Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps, underfloor heating, solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage.
The decision to expand onto the South Coast aligns with GBR’s vision to extend the benefits of solar energy across the country. By leveraging local expertise and cutting-edge technology, GBR aims to deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solar power solutions to businesses, homes, and industries in the region and throughout the UK.
GBR’s network already includes regional offices in various locations, and adding Solar Voltaics’ Chichester office further expands its nationwide reach.
Chris Delaney, Managing Director of GBR, expressed his excitement about having Solar Voltaics join their family and network of regional offices. He highlighted Solar Voltaics’ reputation, quality of work, and the positive impact they have had in the region. Delaney also emphasized GBR’s growth strategy of acquiring respected and reputable businesses like Solar Voltaics to expand their nationwide network.
Solar Voltaics’ founder, Michael Turner, who has extensive experience in the aerospace materials industry, expressed his pride in what the Solar Voltaics team has achieved. Turner stated that their mission has always been to educate customers about the benefits of solar PV technology and provide customized installations to meet their specific requirements and budget.
In the future, Solar Voltaics will rebrand to Green Building Renewables as it becomes part of GBR’s nationwide network. The company aims to recruit new Solar PV installers and heat pump engineers to address the skills shortage in the renewable technology industry.
