Yorkshire-based law firm Ison Harrison has announced the promotion of nine employees across its network of offices. The promotions include solicitors Ami Law, Gemma Vine, Magda Dakowicz, Tim Wilson, Simon Helliwell, Jessica Haigh, James Pascoe, Katrina Stapleton, and Georgina Pogge-Von Strandman, who have all been promoted to partner. This latest round of promotions marks a significant milestone, following Ison Harrison’s transition to becoming an entirely employee-owned firm earlier this year.
Gemma Vine, who joined the firm in 2020 as an experienced specialist inquest lawyer, has played a crucial role in helping the firm gain a national reputation for inquest and civil liberties work. Her profile and expertise have also been instrumental in securing Ison Harrison’s recent Claims Against Public Authorities legal aid contract. Magda Dakowicz, who joined the firm’s conveyancing team in 2016, quickly worked her way up through several regional offices, eventually taking on the responsibility of running the new build team based in Leeds.
Tim Wilson, who has been with the firm since 1997, is a well-established wills and probate fee-earner at the Crossgates office and is respected and well-known across the firm. He has worked in various offices and teams during his career at Ison Harrison, including at the head office and Morley. Simon Helliwell, who has been with the firm for over two decades, joined the personal injury team in 2004 and is highly regarded for his approach to catastrophic injury and brain injury cases.
Jessica Haigh, who joined the firm in August 2021 as an assistant solicitor specializing in wills and probate, is now based permanently in Barnsley after working out of Pontefract and Barnsley offices. James Pascoe, who joined the firm as a residential property lawyer in 2017, was the first person to work from the Harrogate office when it opened in 2021. Meanwhile, Katrina Stapleton has been instrumental in supporting the clinical negligence team, driving the department’s growth and success over the last seven years.
Georgina Pogge-Von Strandman joined the residential property team in 2015 and is now the branch manager of the Harrogate office, one of the firm’s best-performing regional branches. Finally, Ami Law, who joined Ison Harrison’s clinical negligence division in 2015, has grown to become one of the most able litigators and clinical negligence lawyers on the team. She was promoted to Associate last year and has also taken the lead on successful business development on behalf of the Snappy Trust.
Overall, Ison Harrison’s latest round of promotions signifies the firm’s continued growth and success and highlights its commitment to recognizing the talent and hard work of its employees through career development opportunities.
