Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has recently appointed Danny Cranie as its Chief Customer Officer, a new strategic role aimed at shaping the Society’s future direction. As the Chief Customer Officer, Cranie will focus on enhancing the Society’s capabilities across existing channels while also developing its new digital proposition.
Bringing with him 34 years of extensive experience in the banking and building society sector, Cranie has held various leadership positions focused on driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer outcomes. He began his career at Halifax Building Society and spent a total of 32 years at Lloyds Banking Group, followed by the last 18 months at Virgin Money. During his time at Lloyds Banking Group, Cranie held pivotal operational and strategic roles, including Area Director and Head of Development, and masterfully led Bank of Scotland through the HBOS/Lloyds merger.
Cranie holds a BA Degree in Accountancy & Business Law and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Bankers. Regarding his new role, he expressed his enthusiasm by stating, “I am thrilled to join Hinckley & Rugby in driving our new vision and 5-year business plan forward. The customer-centric values of the Society align perfectly with my personal commitment to prioritizing customer needs in every decision we make.
