Cowgills, a company that gives business advice and does accounting, is opening new offices in two North West workspaces to help its team grow.
The company’s headquarters will stay in Bolton, but the 28 people who work in Manchester are moving to the Annex on Quay Street. They will take up 3,700 square feet on the first floor.
The team doubled in size in just two years, so they had to move from the nearby ABC. In the coming months, they plan to hire more people in corporate finance, tax, and audit. OBI told Cowgills what to do.
Cowgills has quickly outgrown its old space in Liverpool, so it has moved into 1,400 square feet on the second floor of Bruntwood’s grade II-listed Cotton Exchange in the city’s business district.
Since opening on Chapel Street in 2021 with just four business recovery specialists, Cowgills Liverpool has grown to 18 employees in all fields, including business recovery, tax, audit, and accounts.
Managing partner Paul Stringer said: “Having superb facilities for our people is essential, not just for their health and wellbeing, but to ensure that we continue to recruit and retain the very best talent. With offices in these key northern cities we are able to provide a full service to clients regardless of where they are based across Lancashire, Manchester and Merseyside.”
In Bolton, the Grade A workspace has booth seating, an indoor garden, and audio-visual presentation and video conferencing that can be used for many different things. In January, the team will move into the space.
Cotton Exchange has a private roof garden, a space for events, showers, and places to change and store bikes. This month, the Liverpool team moves into the new space.
